A Beautiful Spring Wedding at The Farmhouse at Mackworth | Vin & Vicky
On the 20th March, I had the pleasure of photographing the wonderful wedding of Vin and Vicky at the stunning The Farmhouse at Mackworth. Set in the Derbyshire countryside, this venue provided the perfect backdrop for a relaxed and elegant spring wedding celebration.
From the moment I arrived in the morning, there was a calm and excited atmosphere throughout the day. The bridal preparations were filled with laughter, emotion, and anticipation as family and friends gathered to celebrate such a special occasion.
The Farmhouse at Mackworth offers a fantastic setting for wedding photography, with beautiful natural light, stylish interiors, and lovely outdoor spaces that work perfectly for both candid storytelling moments and relaxed couple portraits. March weddings often bring soft spring light and fresh seasonal colours, which helped create a timeless and romantic feel throughout the photographs.
Vin and Vicky were a joy to photograph. Their relaxed personalities made capturing natural moments effortless, and throughout the day there were so many genuine smiles, emotional moments, and happy celebrations shared between family and friends.
Following the ceremony, guests enjoyed the celebrations while we took a short walk around the venue grounds to capture some relaxed portraits of the newlyweds. My approach to wedding photography is always focused on creating natural and authentic images without taking couples away from their guests for long periods of time, allowing them to fully enjoy every part of their wedding day.
As the evening celebrations began, the atmosphere inside The Farmhouse became even more vibrant, with heartfelt speeches, laughter, dancing, and plenty of memorable moments that perfectly reflected the energy of the day.
It was a real privilege to be part of Vin and Vicky’s wedding and help document such an important chapter in their lives. I wish them both many happy years together.

On the 1st May 2026, I had the pleasure of photographing a truly beautiful wedding celebration at The Lyric Rooms in Ashby-de-la-Zouch alongside Sharron Alexandra Photography.
From the very first meeting with Franco and Annette, it was clear how excited they were for their wedding day, and it was important to us that they felt completely relaxed and comfortable in front of the camera. One of the things I always aim for as a wedding photographer is to create a calm and friendly atmosphere where couples can simply enjoy their day naturally.
The Lyric Rooms provided the perfect setting for the celebrations, combining elegant interiors with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Throughout the day we captured a mixture of formal portraits, relaxed candid moments, emotional family interactions, and natural storytelling photographs that reflected the personality of the couple and the joy of everyone attending.
As the day unfolded, there were so many genuine moments filled with laughter, emotion, and happiness. These are always the photographs that become the most meaningful over time — the small moments that truly tell the story of the wedding day.
The final gallery included a mixture of both colour and black and white edits, giving Franco and Annette a timeless collection of memories to treasure for years to come. Delivering wedding galleries promptly is something I always prioritise, so couples can relive their special day while the excitement is still fresh.
